Kakishibu
Kakishibu is a traditional Japanese dye/paint that dates back to the 13th Century. It is made from unripe astringent persimmons, which are fermented and aged for more than two years to create a rich tannin of deep amber tones and can be modified to shift the colours into black, greys and different shades of brown. It is organic, water based and easy to use.
30 grams makes 1 litre.
